It¡¯s suitable for 6- and 8-cylinder engines running high boost pressures from turbos, blowers or nitrous.
MSD DIS-4 Plus Ignitions generate an impressive 170 millijoules worth of spark energy with 470 primary volts ¨C which means you can count on it to really light up fuel mixtures, even under the most extreme of cylinder pressures. Managed by a 15 MHz micro-controller for faster compensations, it enables the user to program a high-speed retard after the engine hits total timing. This feature is easy to adjust via built-in rotary dials.
Other features include an ignition interrupt to disable the output to the coil, retard timing capabilities at the top-end to prevent detonation and an LED display to let you know when voltage is running low or when input signals misfire.
